Middle Schools are kicking off the annual Do the Write Thing essay contest in partnership with the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
Do the Write Thing is a national effort that positions students as community catalysts as they examine the root causes and impact of youth violence.
Middle School scholars who participate will write about:
How has violence affected my life?
What are the causes of youth violence?
What can I do to reduce youth violence?
The top 10 essays selected will have a special luncheon. Additionally, the contest winner will attend a trip to Washington, D.C., with their teacher and their family as a National Ambassador for DTWT.
Parents/guardians, consent forms were sent home. Questions, please get in touch with your scholar's building. Check out this introduction video by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost kicking off Do the Write Thing 2024-2025!
